Review of Example’s First US Concert [Pics Included]

I don’t think I’ve ever felt more lucky than when I got random messages from Europeans telling me how much of a legend Example is and saying how lucky I am to be able to get his tickets for only $19 USD. Me and my friend ended up traveling to NYC for three days to see him perform in a small New York City venue called the Gramercy Theatre. It seats only about 700 people (most standing). To start-up artists I’m sure this is something of an awesome venue to perform in. However, for Example where his other venues can hold an upwards of 15,000 people I’m sure it was a bit of a paradigm shift. I don’t have much to say other than this was one of my most favorite artists to see in my entire life, which is actually saying something considering the lineup of artists I have seen (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Green Day, Chronic Future, The Beach Boys, Yellowcard etc). The show was not only very energetic from the crowd but also from Example and his band. I am definitely seeing him again when he returns to the US in the fall. Enjoy some photos I took (with my phone, sorry) of the concert. I also got a sweet poster which advertises it as being his debut in the USA (going to frame it because I’m a music nerd).

So many changes in lighting during the show.

I have more photos but since they were all with my phone the quality isn’t amazing. Either way, if you ever have a chance to see him live I would highly suggest it. The live band makes it such a mix of many genres and something that really isn’t done in US concerts. The only downside is that he’s so popular it’s next to impossible to get his autograph/meet him after shows.
